CHEERIO COLLECTIVE.
Los Angeles, California
Cheerio Collective is not only a rent the rack thrift store - the space has evolved as an event host for the community it resides in.
Lureena is a multi-faceted artist. Her background may be rooted in improv/comedy, but she paints (on shoes!), plays with stone, and has designed the interiors of her home with re-imagined beauty.
I came onto the project in its preliminary stages, where the work was still gritty. I supported a found furniture haul, moved hundreds of pounds worth of marble/stone flooring and sold a few items for her online.
My skills came to fruition in sorting through 55+ ikea bags of inventory. I took the time to organize clothes and accessories into multiple categories - tops, bottoms, coats, shoes, belts/bags and home goods. I also stored the bags in a way that was easily accessible in her back room and flexible enough to grow alongside the business.
